Possibly nerves. I have a newly started 9 yr old horse with
the same condition, but it is even worse with the spring grass. I see lots of
horses that get the runs on the trails.

Am starting my young horse(5 in October 2007)with alot of
long, slow miles...he is doing so good!
Question...why does he have diarrhea out on the trail but
not in the yard while I am tacking up, lunging him or anywhere
else...just when we are riding thge trails?
He is getting a fat supplement...Platinum Performance but
I would think if that is the problem he would have runny stools all the time
not just on the trail...
Any insight into this will be greatly appreciated...
