RE: [RC] [RC] tent camping - Mel CochranI second that!I use a small lightweight backpacking tent. It is a "2 man" tent, but you had better be really familiar with the 2nd person as you will be very snuggly in the tight space. It was fairly pricey when I bought it a few years ago. I think I paid $350 or more for it. It has held up well, the rain fly covers the whole tent and makes a little "front porch" I stay dry and it is actually fairly warm. I have camped when temps were in the 20's and was comfortable. You might want to consider getting a few smaller tents that are of high quality. That way everyone has their "own" space. My camping motto is light, quick and easy. It pretty much has to be that way since I go solo and don't want the hassle of an elaborate camp setup. I don't hang out in my tent or anything. I go in it to sleep, that is it.
