Re: [RC] Readiness for a Ride - rides2farmight be interesting to share what parameters many of you riders use that indicate when you yourself are ready to attempt an endurance ride. Bruce, There is only one indicator that I have found accurate. I do not feel like I can ride a 100. When I finish a 50 or 55, or 60 I am beat and feel I have hit my limit and it would be impossible to go farther. My knees & shins hurt on short training rides. HOWEVER, I look at some people who do a 100 and KNOW that if they can do it I can! So...I enter, and so far it has never been very bad at all. I finish and don't feel any worse than usual, actually often feel pretty good the last half. :-) Angie =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
