[RC] heart murmur - Sheila JCI

Is this a real murmur or a "dropped beat".  My gelding
goes lub-dub, lub-dub, lub(pause), lub-dub. A long
time ago, a vet in IL would not let us start.  We had
done a 50 (top tenned) 2 weeks before.  So, I took him
to Rood & Riddle did the EKG and the vet said nothing
was wrong. Just a VERY fit horse, she said instead of
having a really low resting rate, this horse dropped a
beat instead.  His resting rate is 24. I keep a copy
of his EKG and "permission slip" just in case a vet
won't let us start.

This all happened in 1995. The same horse did 2 days
of the FITS ride (50 and 55 miles) at the age of 25.
