Re: [RC] Trailer Floor Help Needed - Sisu West RanchWooden Trailer floors have different rot problems. The rot usually starts on the ends of the boards. Take a screwdriver and vigorously plunge the tip into the boards at the ends. If it goes in you have a problem. The only solution is to replace the floor. Using pressure treated wood helps. When you cut the boards, it really helps to soak the cut ends in preserver. In the good old days, when men were men and aplastic anemia was just a medical term, you could get good stuff to do this. Today you are limited pretty much to copper napthenate (coppertox is one brand). Soaking the ends periodically with more preserver will also extend the life of the floor. Water proofers, like Thompson's water seal should also help.
