RE: [RC] My endurance horse died in a pasture accident - Dolores Arste"And: Will his life continue to be fun even after I have stopped playing at endurance with him? Is this going to kill him is a virtually irrelevant question." Hey Kat, A cool reminder for all of us that these animals love what they are doing. We used to race Sled Dogs and the bedlam that would occur when we hooked up was amazing. Even the ancient 14 year olds wanted to go. We get better and better at managing these animals and so it's only natural that we find the bar being raised at what they can do. You may remember that "No one could break the 4 minute mile" To do so would certainly cause death. Once done, 4 more people in the same year broke the self inflicted limit. In the 20's no one could ride on a train traveling more than 15 miles per hour certainly not a woman. To do so would certainly cause death or at least a nose bleed. And, no one could run both the 1000 mile Yukon Quest and the 1000 mile Iditarod which occur 10 days apart. with the same dog team in the same year until this year when someone did and won both. Finishing with 10 dogs that had won both races. What new limit is there to be broken. Dolores www.zenguidance.com -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
