Re: [RC] URGENT: Easyboot Bare sizing/fitting question - Laney HumphreySharon,When I first got my Bares, I couldn't get them on either. I got so mad at them that I stomped on them, literally! I practically jumped on them to try to kind of loosen them up and break them. If figured if it works for human shoes, it might work for horse boots. It did, they were easier, not easy yet, but easier to get on. I also took out the heel straps but I would recommend getting tapers because if you just cut the heel strap off the ends of what's left are blunt and could cause rubbing on the sides of your horse's hoof, especially since the hoof is wide to begin with. FYI, after struggling with the Bares for a few times, they did break in and I haven't had to use a mallet in a long time. In fact, I had to tighten them from the middle to the tightest hole. Hope this helps! Laney Sharon Levasseur wrote: Skyla, =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
