Everyone was smiling and happy when they passed me, after vet 1.   
VERY up and down, the only singletrack was in the morning, early,  
before the mtn bikers got there.  I ran a water stop, then went down  
the mountain in first gear all the way.

One of the challenging parts of photographing rides is the wear and  
tear on my truck, though this is the first time I got a flat.  Tori  
got a flat last week going over the trail with Kat, she shuttled  
crews today on the Orange County side.  This ride ranks with Swanton  
Pacific (road to the Butano airstrip) and Californios Lite (road to  
the top of the world, ma!) in terms of the "pucker factor".  (Any  
vets out there know what THAT is!)
