Re: [RC] fly sheets/fly spray - Sharon LevasseurSheila's right but I'd like to add to that. You have to soak the horse AND you have to brush it in, against the grain of the hairs. The horse can't be wet when you do it either. -Sharon L. Quoting Sheila_Larsen@xxxxxxx: I have had some success with fly sheets. They do tear but I have had some that last at least one season. To be honest I don't know if there is a difference between the sheets that are impregnated with "fly stuff" and those that aren't. The sheet I had impregnated with fly stuff seemed to last longer because it was a different material and it didn't seem to tear as easily. Fly sheets do keep them cooler If you decide to use fly spray remember to read the directions because most people just spritz the fly spray on and then wonder why it doesn't work. You need to pretty much soak the horse. A lovely horse is always an experience.... It is an emotional experience of the kind that is spoiled by words. ~Beryl Markham =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
