Re: [RC] Cougars Clown - Barbara McCraryRemember our Hyannis gelding, Freckles? He was the horse Lud and I did our first R&T with in Almaden - 1982. He picked up the idea so fast that by the time we were half way through the ride, he was picking out trees to be tied to and would come to a stop, just before either of us was planning to tie him. He also greeted the runner who was upcoming. I miss him to this day, even though he was a pretty good spooker. I still have a big welt on my left thigh from the time he dumped me into the rocks on Lockheed Ridge one time.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Shaw" <sshaw@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Maryben Stover" <mbstover@xxxxxxxxx>; "Ridecamp" <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, March 28, 2007 9:53 AM Subject: [RC] Cougars Clown Clown did well in both endurance and ride and tie. She picked up RAT quickly. After being tied she would turn down the trail looking for the back runner to show up. With her distinctive harlequin blaze she was easy to spot. What a great uphill trot she still has! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
