Re: [RC] no more Shenandoah River Crossing!! - Truman PrevattI remember crossing the river in the fog. I have a picture of sponging my horse as I cross the river in the morning. That year we turned up along the river and rode a ways. Riding parallel to as the road climbs above the river with the mist hanging over the river was one of more magical moments I have ever experienced in endurance riding.Marinera@xxxxxxx wrote: What a shame. As a native Californian, steeped in the history of the West, I learned about the eastern part of our country mainly in history books. Crossing the Shenandoah in the early morning with the fog still on the water and then again, hours later, in the dark were magical moments in my endurance career. I am sorry others will not have the same opportunity in the future.
