Re: [RC] [RC] I've got hate mail - D'Arcy Demianoff-ThompsonComical relief is an acquired writing ability. I am sorry that Angie's posts and article have not been received by some in the vain in which she, obviously, has written them. Would that the majority of the world could view life in a more humorous non-threatening manner! How great would life be?
Every writer's object is to reach their audience. Another object is to educate your reader. Given those to objectives. Angie has definitely reached her audience and she has educated them. Whether the audience has received her positively or negatively. It really doesn't matter. The objectives have been met.

If you had seen her two presentations at the national convention, maybe you'd understand her better, or, ... not. She had me laughing out loud during both of her "talks" and wanting more. I hope she keeps writing and that EN keeps publishing her work.
If you had read her book, the Lighter Side of Endurance, you would see she pokes fun (and makes a lot of serious comments as well) at endurance riders.

I personally thought your article was very close-minded, very supportive of Cliques, typical 'head cheerleader' in attitude, and EVERY TSU student (who all grew up riding horses) - whom I let read your article... made the comment: "that's not an organization I'D ever feel welcomed too... if that's how they all feel....."
