Re: [RC] RC:Core Temp - Sisu West RanchHardware stores now sell electronic remote thermometers with thermistor probes. These small probes come attached to wires. It is not much of a trick to make a recess in a pad and put the probe there with the wires running to the unit that is duck taped to the saddle. It would be completely safe, unless you didn't make the recess deep enough and the probe hurt the horse.
