RE: [RC] Horse barn with Apartment/living quarters - Brenda AikenWe just had a Morton building built on our property outside Nashville TN. The materials and workmanship is fantastic! But-it was to be finished by Dec 15, 2006-we will do the final walkthrough tomorrow-way longer than we planned! I would suggest you include a date of completion clause in your contract. We did not do that...now it is the hind site thing. Our main house is a barn/cabin combo. We love it! I can go from the bathroom into the stall area-the horses love it as well. We do not have a fly or smell problem. Have a fun day! Look up their website. I used to live in a morton building barn that had an apartment in it. In Dunlap, IL. It was great! It had 5 stalls, but really was build for ten. They just didn't put in the partitions and had extra big stalls. So one half of the barn was the horse stalls. Then a cement aisle way in the middle. Then the other half was an aparment on one half and equipment storage on the other. With a barn bathroom and tack/feed room in the middle. The apartment had a kitchen, living room, one bedroom, bath with tub and shower. It also had an unfinished upstairs room with one big window. You could look out it and see the horses in their stalls. I loved it.
