"...If you get attacked, you most likely never
saw the ..." or the black bear, or the griz, or
the two legged mugger etc.
The moral; Don't say "Oh well, I won't see my
attacker so I better just resign myself to being the victom." Rather keep
alert especially where attack is likely. For example While jogging
on a trail where there is a big rock. While turning a cornier on a trail
in Glacier Park. While walking on a city street at night passing a dark
alley etc.
