[RC] Mountain Lions and Deer - k s swigartBarb McCrary said: There certainly are plenty of deer, said to be their favorite food, to keep any lion happy around here. While there might be plenty of deer, I am assuming none of them are penned up like the goats. If the lion feels safe enough to go into the goat pen and kill the goat, and then come back later to eat it, I consider it highly unlikely that it will start hunting deer instead. It has found a steady supply of food that is always in the same place and can't run away. Not unlike shooting fish in a barrel. If you don't do something to make the goats less attractive, it will be back the next time it's hungry. kat Orange County, Calif. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
