It isn't a bad product, but it WON'T help with the ""transitioning stages"
of becoming barefoot. Biotin supplements (which this is) helps the hoof
grow out with a stronger wall, assuming that the horse is lacking a certain
level of biotin already. While it MAY improve his hoof wall, you won't see
a difference until that new hoof wall is grown down. Depending on the
horse, that may take 9 months or longer.
This falls in the "it can't hurt" category if your pocketbook can afford
it.
As a caveat, I would check what the sulfur donors are... be sure you
aren't feeding MSM without realizing it.
Has anyone used Master hoofblend by Farnam. A barefoot
practioner suggested I feed it to my endurance mount during the
transitioning stages of becoming barefoot. He's on his 3rd week and doing
well.
