In our area, firecrackers, cherry bombs and the like are illegal and  
would probably set off brush fires, especially this year, the dryest  
on record.  We've had two since the year started, one a half mile  
away and the other less than 5.  Not counting the big ones that make  
the national news like last weekend's, which was supposedly caused by  
the ditching of a stolen car in the brush alongside the toll road,  
where it was then either torched or the catalytic converter ignited.

So, we just chase them dogs.  GIT 'em!  I can attest to Kat's  
proficiency at it.
