Re: [RC] question for those who highline their horses - Barbara McCraryI once saw the most interesting highline, created by the horses' owner. One end secured to the trailer, the other end secured as follows: Steel picket driven into the ground. Pipe slipped over the picket. Pipe apparently had some rings welded onto the top and the whole business anchored to ground with some sort of ropes attached to stakes driven deep into the ground. I don't remember the precise details of the manner in which the pipe sleeve was guyed to the ground, but an enterprising person could work out something safe and strong. That one seem to work for high-lining at least three horses, as I remember.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marta Kozlowska" <martank@xxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, March 13, 2007 6:40 AM Subject: [RC] question for those who highline their horses i know some people prefer to highline their horses at camp. curious what do you do if there aren't any trees to use at camp? is it possible to run a highline from the trailer to the truck? if so, which part of the truck do you tie your line to in order for the line to stay high enough? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
