Re: [RC] mohair girth - rides2far@xxxxxxxxand noticed a small rub on his off side where the girth lays. The best I can determine is that it is where the buckle(the part that goesin the hole on your strap I glued about a 3" x 5" piece of thick sheepskin onto a piece of foam that was a shim for my OF. then I cut 2 holes through it, ran a shoestring through that and tie it to the buckles on my mohair. I like that better than the leather pads ones you buy because those get stiff around the edges. When I clip I never cut where the girth or saddle go though. Had him clipped last Saturday for the upcoming Sandhills Stampede Ride next weekend if you choose to use it that way)is rubbing his side. Not a bad rub mind you. I hope to do 2 days at the Stampede and was wondering if anyone has ever had this happen and what did you do. If all else fails I can go back to the neoprene girth but I really like the mohair. Any suggetions at all will be greatly appreciated. Pam =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
