[RC] looking for TWH/RH stallion for 2008 breeding - aggiekrisI currently own an almost 5 year old double registered Tennessee Walker/Racking Horse gelding who is shaping up to be a great LD horse (and as soon as I'm ready to try him, i'm certain that he'll be an awesome 50 mile horse). I have made plans with the owner of his dam (also TWH/RH) to rebreed her next spring and I would like to use a different stallion (his strenghths are from the dam, not the sire), but as yet have found no compilatory list of proven stallions of the breed. Does anyone out there have a TWH/RH stallion that you're competing on, or know of someone else who is? Color and size don't matter at all, although smaller would be better considering the dam is 17.1hh and i'd rather not have TWO huge beasts. I want a horse who is able to complete rides sanely and soundly, not looking to race, and has done so for several season. I'd like him to have a natural rack (preferably) or running walk - the mare tends to be on the pacey side. Most importantly, a GREAT disposition - this mare can be pretty nasty. Normally this would eliminate her from the breeding pool in my mind, but my guy didn't get an ounce of that, which i attribute to his sire. If you know of any, please let me know.
