RE: [RC] lame colt/Adequan - Kristen A FisherDiane - I don't know who posted the quote below, but can tell you we use chiropractic in general [and Denise in particular!!] as routine maintenance for well being. But what really hit me was, my gelding came out of his stall after a week off training very lame on what seems to be his LF for no apparent reason. The vet came out and blocked him up into his shoulder, and he was still lame. Vat said 2 weeks off - some improvement but still lame. 2 more weeks of rest. Slightly better but still off. I made a special out-of-cycle appt to have him adjusted, we gave him a couple days off after the chiro, and he was right as rain. I would definitely try the chiro. As for the Adequan - I am not a vet but I do understand what Adequan is for, and I think it's not a good use of funds. JMHO. Good luck with him! She is an equine chiropractor. The only way I can describe what she did was that a miracle happened. If I had not seen it, I don't think I would believe it. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
