Re: [RC] [RC] my husband and his big rig - Sisu West RanchThere are some interesting exceptions for RV's. A friend made a custom sleeper semi tractor. He looked up his states requirements and found that if he had a bed, running water, a cook stove he could get it licensed as an RV. It took him several months and supplying the exact wording of the statute, but he got the license. With the RV license he spends just a few dollars for a license, and just as importantly he only has to pay RV rates for his insurance. He also claimed (I know the license plate story is true- I saw the plates) that the driver does not need a CDL because it is an RV.Ed Ed & Wendy Hauser 2994 Mittower Road Victor, MT 59875 (406) 642-9640 ranch(at)sisuwest(dot)us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
