Re: [RC] my husband and his big rig - Mike LewisGoodness help y'all if you ever take a wrong turn to a ride. Sometimes ride directions aren't very good and signs aren't good. I've had to back out a 30' gooseneck trailer once or twice when I got "lost" trying to find a ride site, and that can be a challenge without a spotter. Just my $0.02... also, some of the ride sites are hard to get to with a large rig. Low tree branches, too, that'll be right in your husband's way with his rig. I'd advise you to stick with your pickup. :-) Mike --- Jennifer Adam <jatatahoe1@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Hello ridecamp - another silly question. My husband drives a big rig when he isn't busy farming. It has a really nice sleeper and holds around 450 gallons of fuel, so he thinks it would be perfect for driving to endurance rides. I prefer our pick-up and tents, but he says the big rig would be much easier. Sigh. Boys and their toys... Anyway, I realize most campsites probably don't have room for big rigs and I imagine many areas don't allow them, but I figured I would ask anyway for his sake... Are there any rides in the Central or Midwest regions that allow/have space for big rigs pulling trailers? It has a battery-operated fan/cooling system so we would not be running it all night, but it's a *big* Peterbilt.
