Re: [RC] re: ROC 1987-musings - Truman PrevattActually the term "cowboy" I was referring to had nothing to do with cowboys in WY, CO, FL or any other place where guys round up cattle. It referred to the guys who say "rules be dammed - we're going to get 'er done" and go do it. The Chuck Yeagers, the Neil Armstrongs, the John Glenns - the guys with the "right stuff."In our PC society it's getting harder and harder to have the "right stuff." Truman Cindy Collins wrote: In Wyoming, cowboys are still "PC!" -- “He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.” Friedrich Nietzsche, Beyond Good and Evil =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
