AERC rules dictate all of the below, except the pulse
criteria # for endurance.
At the end of a ride, all endurance riders must meet
criteria [whatever has been decided for that ride] in 60 mins. All LDs must meet
60 bpm in 30 mins. So these are rules, not just the way regions do
things.

Michigan like the NW usually runs with a 60
pulse, 30 min recovery for LD and 60 for endurance. The horses that are
fit have no problem with the recovery, including the longer distances.
