Sandy, I really didn't mean to drag ridecamp into a mud slinging contest, honestly :)? I just hate that folks talk about all the progress we've made and all the great new rules and medical marvels, etc., but never address the fact that not much has really changed except rides are not nearly as relaxed nor as much fun.? There are some exceptions, thank goodness.? I do believe that good people with good intentions are trying hard to make things safer for horses...just not sure they've accomplished that much in changing people's basic personality and behavior.
