Nancy - I didn't see where you intended to keep this kit...
in your trailer? or barn? Either way, here are some other
things I thought of:

String (for hanging IV bags)Kotex (cheaper/better than medical pads?)
duct tape (for attaching things that won't attach with other methods)
plastic tie wraps (ditto)
wire cutters (or better, Leatherman-type tool with wire cutters)
tweezers? (for your desert rides in cholla cactus <g>)
warm blanket for horse? (to help if in shock/keep him comfortable)
shoe pullers? (if you're going to be prepared, you might as well... <g>)
spare halter/lead rope (to contain escapee horses?)


(what's a "hoof slipper"?)
