I was there too, crewing for my future wife and Emmett Ross. They were 
both pulled, but I bought the horse that finished 9th. One of the only 
16 that finished. I was so fortunate to get Renegade from Jackie B and 
then had so many good rides, ride and ties and Tevis's with him.  He is 
retired,  still living on a hillside in Felton that I would like to be 
on.... Kessinger said he saw Renegade about a half year ago.....
Since he was top ten that year we got a free entry to the next one and 
that was fun. I got to ride it with a famous Tevis finisher and just 
barely beat Maggie Price for top ten.
