Re: [RC] [RC] One last GPS question - AprilHi, Alissa,The 205 is well worth the extra money, in my opinion. It has a lot of good workout features that you might not need now, but will be nice later. It also has a different body than the Forerunner 201 or the However, the single most important thing to me about the FR 205 vs the 201 models is the very much improved satellite reception. At a ride last summer, I had a 305 (the 205's big brother that has HR and optional cadence unit). One friend had a 301 and another rider had a FR 201. My 305 got beautiful tracks of the entire trail. The 301 cut out a lot and the 201, I was told, barely had any reception when actually on trail. The 205 has the same reception chip and software that the 305 has. Personally, I would spring for the 205 if you can. The 205 does have the Back to Start that Kristen mentioned as well as a map screen so you can see where you've been. You can also mark your truck and make a B-line straight back if you don't want to follow the exact way you went out. And basic things like speed, average speed, time, distance and other data you can see on the fly and download afterwards to your computer for log book and analysis work.
