Re: [RC] bouncing...dressage? - Barbara McCraryAt this point, I just have to get excited about having changed from dial-up to satellite Internet reception. We are out of range for DSL, but I signed on with Wild Blue and it cost me about $300 for the equipment, the installation (which took the man all day) was free (at that time...some sort of promotion, I think), and I have the slowest and least expensive program, which costs about $50 per month. The fastest and most expensive costs $80 per month, but I decided to try the cheapest program first, and I've never seen the need to upgrade. That video downloaded in seconds; I didn't time it, but I'd guess maybe 30 seconds. I know that some videos that used to take 45 minutes on dial-up, 39 seconds on DSL, took about 7 minutes on satellite. I am so pleased with the difference between dial-up and satellite. Once in awhile, I'll lose all contact...about 12 hours was the longest time. Weather-related, perhaps...not sure. Wild Blue tech support has been great.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: <rides2far@xxxxxxxx> To: <desertridingal@xxxxxxx> Cc: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, January 02, 2007 8:59 AM Subject: Re: [RC] bouncing...dressage?
