RE: [RC] Trail Manners - Elana RiedelI must have one of those animated horses! I've taught my horse that when we come to water (stream, trough, etc.), she is expected to drop her head. If she is thirsty (not very often), she'll drink. If she isn't, then she'll drop her head to prove she is listening to me, but then blow bubbles or swish her head to give everyone nearby a shower. On the one hand, I can't very well scold her since she is dropping her head as I told her to do and getting more used to the water (which is a good thing). On the other hand, I have learned to let people know that she splashes so we can wait if they like or they can share in getting cooled down too! It's a pretty animated horse that can "splash you" by using his head. Obviously, she meant pawing. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
