This sounds like the definition of Egypt! On the whole I prefer to  
ride off the roads and I'm blessed with miles and miles of trails  
that will take me almost anywhere without hitting the asphalt. Then  
there is the desert too. But when we do ride on the roads, the way  
people drive in Egypt sometimes it's safest to ride right down the  
middle of the road.  Hard to say really which side of the road is  
which here. BUT the upside of all of the vehicular insanity is that  
you can ride our horses right through a traffic jam of dump trucks  
and they never even blink an eye.
