How old is she, what kind of base conditioning does she have, what sort of build (chunky, lean, etc.) is she? What lengths of rides are you hoping to do this year? As far as her feet go... if she's been barefoot all her life on the same terrain you're going to ride on, she'll probably be fine barefoot until you start to notice them wearing faster than they grow.
