When I said "when safety common sense dictates, I ride on the left or on the sidewalk", I meant things like sharp blind curves, steep hills, and other situations where if I was on the right shoulder I would be invisible to vehicles coming up behind me. IMHO opinion, in cases like that it is dangerous to follow the law, and I will continue to ride where my horse and I are most visible to traffic. -Sharon L. Remember that ridden and driven horses were on the right side of N American streets and roads centuries before the invention of cars. As to which way would be safer, that is a moot point.
