Just in case you're thinking about including the
"Short Cut Trail" on your next ride from Cool or the Auburn Overlook, it won't
be any short cut, at least according to some of my riding buddies who attempted
it a few days ago. The recent snow has pulled down the branches so much
that it is nearly impassable. They had to duck & break branches with their
hands (forgot their clippers) to get through and felt like they were crawling
with ticks. So if you go there, take your time and have clippers
& loppers ready to clear a path.
