Count the ribs. In my eyes this horse is on the edge of malnutrition or 
certainly appears to be. Reckon why the photographer took the picture for the 
world to see. Surely there is enough feed for this poor animal. Probably not 
enough rest. Wonder why they would compete this horse?? Probably those 
abscesses on their backs. Did I spell it correctly, maybe or maybe not. 
However, I am sure the message is sent. Buddy
