It was very cold the day of the ride, but the evening before it was warm. Yep. I worked that ride, as a pulse taker. I literally got pneumonia, and was on antibiotics for a while. I think it was a year or two later, though, because I was single. There's a story about that, one of the reasons Kat is my wife. The day I went to the doctor and found out I had pneumonia, I had a date with one of my girlfriends that night. Not Kat. I called my date and told her that I'd come down with pneumonia, and was told to stay home and not go out for a few days, and could she come to my house instead (I lived about 20 miles away from her place). She said, no, that was too far to drive on a weeknight. So I called Kat, and she said, "OhMyGod! I'll be right there!!"
