Absolutely none I expect....." Now the welfare of horses is a topic the AERC should discuss and formulate rules on. One of the AIMS of the AERC is to PROTECT the health of horses. Perhaps the AERC should have a rule that all entrants present a 30 day (or newer) vet health certificate, even if not required because no state lines were crossed, before entry into a ride. In contrast to vague fears of young children possibly being hurt, we have at various times seen hundreds of horses sickened by viruses spread around at rides. While I have never personally seen a young rider that I felt should not be in a ride, I have seen a person try to enter a horse from a herd infected by strangles, and another with a fistulous whither.
