[RC] Are you always that nasty? - Diane TrefethenSome people can get nasty on ridecamp when stating your opinion. Do you get that nasty around the campfire when at a ride? I just wondered, because during the winter ridecamp is my campfire with friends. I think that is a great point of view. The next time someone has something edgy to say, stop and ask yourself, "Would I say that in person, with all of Ridecamp as witnesses or would I be more tactful, less pushy, nicer in my criticism?" If we all do that, I think that not only would discussions here go more smoothly but also... and this is the REALLY important part... the person being criticized/corrected/whatever would be much more inclined to read what was said with an open mind instead of just blocking because, "That jerk is just a nasty sob." It never fails to amaze me how bad we, the most intelligent species on the planet, are at keeping our primary objectives at the front of our minds.
