RE: [RC] The Olympics - Kristen A FisherI think it would be a difficult sell - the cross country portion of eventing in Greece was significantly shortened in length due to the cost/challenges of such a big course. I would think endurance would pose exponential problems along those lines. Who needs soap operas when the worldis out there?Maryanne cynically in CairoThe new head of the IOC has stated that there are too many sports in the Olympics and they are in the process of cutting sports out - not adding new ones. I believe that both baseball and softball - both with much bigger appeal than any equestrian event have been cut for the 2008 games. I suspect getting a new equestrian sport into the Olympics will be near on to impossible. As long as they leave womens beach volleyball alone that would be good.
