[RC] lateral with Spirit Bridle v. Bitless Bridle - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Each horse I teach, no matter what the venue the horse will perform in, is
taught dressage. Tracy Smith wrote that there was not the lateral movement
with her bitless bridle and that is very true. That is because of design
flaws. Spirit Bridle has more than enough lateral pull that it will allow a
race horse to changes lanes in measurements of inches. It has enough lateral
pull that a horse can go deep into a ninety degree corner at collected trot
leaving only a six foot arch. Spirit Bridle has enough brakes that the State
of Kentucky approved it for racing thoroughbreds, because it eliminated
runaways. The secret is in the combined lateral and forward control the rider
really has with the Spirit Bridle that is lacking in the "Bitless Bridle".
