Re: [RC] Freezing temps at a ride - Laney HumphreyI've put water buckets inside the horse area of the trailer on really cold rides to keep them from freezing. Worse case scenario, keep some water in your LQ area, or wrap a water bucket in a blanket or horse blanket or something to insulate it. One of the joys of cold rides!Laney Rae Callaway wrote: I've got a question. At the Frigid Digit this past weekend, both nights got into the mid 20's. How do you keep your horse's water from freezing solid? Not only did their buckets freeze, but the water tanks on my truck froze, so we couldn't get more water the next morning until it warmed up. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
