I've put water buckets inside the horse area of the trailer on really 
cold rides to keep them from freezing.  Worse case scenario, keep some 
water in your LQ area, or wrap a water bucket in a blanket or horse 
blanket or something to insulate it.  One of the joys of cold rides!
