Kathie, no I didn't make it. I had to have an
"emergency" (just drill enough to make the pain go away) root canal last week
and this week the rest of the torture, I mean job will be finished. This
little fun time will leave me tapped for awhile.
Thanks for the welcome. It's all rather
exciting. I am also looking for a horse/pony for my son, who thinks he may
want to do a little trailriding himself, but thinks 25 miles is a really long
way. He's only ten and has puttered in the arena, had a few lessons
and done one rather short trail ride. Who knows?????
Anyways, hope to see you out there somewhere this
year!
And, looking forward to meeting all kinds of great new
people. :)
I prefer to NOT have the snap on bit hangers.
Too bulky, and really not as easy to slip a bridle on and off quickly as
one with a separate headstall. I have a bridle made by Animal Tacker that
I have been very pleased with. Lightweight halter, and then a headstall
that slips on over, and has a fastener at the poll. I do not use that
halter to tie over night, but have tied with it on the trail. Here is a
photo. I added bridle rosettes. (reminds me of my childhood bridle for my
pony!)
