Powder the saddle, then just clean off the excess powder that gets on the "outside". You just want it to work down in to the tree area etc. where leather against the tree, or leather to leather rubs....and squeaks. Maybe your gaited list readers just need to find a smoother horse so their saddles don't squeak. Just kidding folks!
