Being spelling challenged I didn't think twice about
Yahoo. After my last post I looked it up in my "New Shorter Oxford English
Dictionary:". They do not list Yayhoo, but list Yahoo as
follows:
From an imaginary race of brutish creatures from Gullivers
Travels by Swift, Middle 18th century. Then they define
it as a brutish person.
I guess both the original poster, and I were using an
acceptable spelling for a word that is now also used as the name of a group of
internet services.
