Re: [RC] I need help :(( - Tiffany D'VirgilioDon't go too crazy. I'm a nuclear medicine technologist and an x-ray tech as well. I've had a fairly large subluxation for a number of years. If the spondylolisthesis is stable, you may be fine, and just have to deal with your pain level, which many times doesn't get better with surgery. You and your doctor need to sit down and talk to figure out what you need to do. Get a second opinion, make sure the radiologist who read your films is good and read up on it. I've seen Dr.'s who like to and do recommend surgery, while others will tell you to stave off surgery as long as you can tolerate the pain. My spondylolithesis is in my neck, but isn't moving, so I just continue to go on-I don't want to have back surgery on my back or neck now, I'm 36 and I have seen a lot really bad outcomes. If it is unstable, then you'll definitely have to look at surgery. Good luck-oh, you probably should have very much manipulation is you have an unstable vertebra, but maybe our resident DO would let you know more about chiro and Spondylolithesis.Tiffany Jody Rogers-Buttram wrote: =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
