Re: [RC] North & South -now I am worried :-) - Sky Ranch
Do they have beer in Texas? HA!
One of the official beers of Texas is Shiner
Bock -- ok, any other Texans out there, to back me up on this? Preferably,
order your beer in long neck bottles ...
Personally, I like Negro Modelo, it's a dark ale
actually, made in Mexico, it's great with Tex-Mex food, which you'll
be sure to find plenty of in old San Antone.
As far as grits -- I'm a 5th generation Texan, and
I have NEVER eaten grits. But
don't mess with my cornbread and beans. And, don't even try to tell me
that Texas is "southern" -- Texas, as all true Texans know, is not "part"
of anything, especially the South. Texas is ... well, Texas is just
Texas. You'll see what I mean when you get there.
Don't worry, there are PLENTY of vegetarians in
Texas, and plenty of non-meat foods to eat - ha! And if you want to go on
a liquid (beer) diet, you'll have plenty of choices, and plenty of
newfound pardners to help you on your way.

I am worried :-)
O.k. now I am
worried- if I don't like grits and am a vegetarian am I going to find
something to eat at the AERC convention?????:-):-) Although if I absolutely HAVE to I can live on beer (
barley and hops are very good for you ;-)) for a few days
...................( Canadian survival skills:-) ) they DO have
beer in Texas?????Because I would have to cancel my ticket if they
don't.
