The first endurance riding 'how to' books that were written back in 70s/80s used the classic profile for the Appalousa as good conformation for endurance riding.

See pages 14 and 15 where you will see the George Pippen Ideal Appaloosa horse which is still the style that I have been breeding for 32 years.
