Re: [RC] Splints - Sisu West RanchI had an endurance horse who developed a splint that was growing. Sometimes it would bother him. Vet said that when inflamed there is a tendon it can bother.His solution was to remove the offending splint bone, which doesn't do anything anyway. After a short recovery, he was fine. My bottom line: Have the surgery done.
